Seventeen years ago, Takafumi's uncle slipped into a coma, but now he's awake, almost as if he's been resurrected. Takafumi soon uncovers two strange facts: his uncle is obsessed with video games, and while unconscious, he was transported to another world as a heroic protector. Now, Takafumi has to share a place with his uncle, who's not only magical but also completely out of touch with the modern world. On top of that, Takafumi must update him on two decades of advancements smartphones, high-speed internet, anime trends, and the aftermath of the '90s console war.
