Shoutaro is a man of few words. He quietly runs a secondhand bookstore called Mononobe Koshoten, spending most of his days reading while his capable young assistant, Shiro, handles the shop's chores. But behind this peaceful, ordinary life lies a hidden occupation— Shoutaro is also in the business of retrieving certain old books... ones far more disturbing than they seem.
