Murasaki possesses a unique ability: she can see a person’s future simply by touching them. As the landlord’s daughter, she is responsible for collecting rent each month—often chasing after her tenant, Shijima Banri, who constantly delays payment. Every time she confronts him, Banri promises he will settle the rent once his writing is published and he finally receives compensation. Despite his repeated excuses, Murasaki continues to quietly support his creative efforts. Through her power, she has already glimpsed the future and knows that Shijima is destined to become her husband, giving deeper meaning to her patience and unwavering faith in him.
