Tsunagu Kurose, a high school student with a passion for composing music but a voice that's anything but great, often faces harsh criticism when he posts his work online. One day, while reluctantly handling the task of taking photos for the school’s culture festival with Otoha Hinomori—his quiet, introverted classmate—Tsunagu's childhood friend, Tetsu Tamura, finds himself in a crisis due to an accident during his club’s stage performance. In a bid to help, Tsunagu quickly gives Tetsu some demo instrumental tracks he’s composed to save the day. However, Tetsu accidentally opens the wrong file, one with Tsunagu's terrible lyrics, turning what was supposed to be a simple favor into a disaster. Embarrassed and on the verge of giving up, Tsunagu is shocked when Otoha, unexpectedly removing her glasses, takes the microphone and begins to hum the song. Her voice is so captivating, it sounds just like Icy, the famous singer Tsunagu has always admired. "Wait... isn't this voice too similar to Icy’s...?"
